| Wow, it's been a while. My neice, Emme, is doing quite well. I love her so much!! She's beautiful, wonderful, hilarious, adorable, all of the above. She's 3 and a half months now! This is the first time I've been able to experience having a newborn around all the time. It's incredible. School is going well also. Tis very busy, but good. Matt and I went through the intro class for membership at our church! We really like it there. I'm excited to get more involved. God is good. It's funny how you can have so much to say, but no motivation to type it all out. Went to Colorado with Matt and his parents during the last 2 weeks of July for his cousin's wedding. His family is hilarious. His birthday fell on one of our travelling days, so we went to Denny's for breakfast. The server there was so sweet, she made him her specialty cheesecake on the house. After we got back, school started of course. And that's about it so far... Later all. kara

| Emersyn Grace Jennings arrived Saturday morning at 7:56am! yay!! She's absolutely gorgeous! I got to see her right after she was born, then some more on Sunday. My sister & brother-in-law are doing well also. My sister is taking it like a champ. She had a c-section and all went well. I think they'll be able to go home from the hospital today. God is good. Also, Matt's neice arrived this morning around the same time! So they're exactly 3 days apart. I believe everyone is healthy there also. We're going to see her tonight after work. So this has been an eventful week!

| My sister is having her baby tomorrow morning at 7:30! She is scheduled for a c-section, so please pray all goes well with her and the baby. But above all, that God is glorified through it all. This is exciting!

| 'Tis the weekend once again. I'm excited. Tonight should be very enjoyable. Matt & I have the night off so the plan is to get some food somewhere, and go to Lone Star Park to see the horse races and Randy Rogers! I've never seen a horse race before, so this should be really neat. Matt & I will then go to Carlton tomorrow night because he's preaching Sunday morning for his dad since it's Father's Day. Then we'll come home to be with my familia for Father's Day.
I hope you are all are enjoying your summer and spending your time well with the future in mind just enough, but not too much to enjoy the moment your in.
Life is good these days, just working 40 hrs/week. In the evenings, I have time to spend time with friends and family, expand my mind, grow deeper with God, get spring cleaning done (since I didn't get to it during the spring), get organized, await the arrival of my new neice (which is in 2 weeks!) and just enjoy life for what it's worth. It's nice to refresh and get stronger before the next semester drains you out entirely once again--even though it's wonderful to be drained, knowing that you're giving your all. I'm looking forward to next semester as it will be quite different. Not sure what all God has planned, but I'm up for the ride. He is amazing..
Love you all. | | |
| It baffles me so when Scripture is preached not in its context, but in the way in which one prefers to do so. We are to teach it only as it is laid out in Scripture, not rearrange it to our convenience to cater to our topical discussions or sermons. It's surprisng at how easily one can determine wrong teaching or true teaching of a verse just by reading the verse before and after it. It's imperative that we take God's Word for what it truly is and not for what we want it to be. And oh, how beautiful His Word is. We know its beauty for it focuses on the glory of God. Thank God for His undeniable truth and sovereign grace which we will never fully comprehend until we are glorified with Him. | | |
